Contaminet is a high-visibility geocomposite comprising a yellow mesh bonded to an orange geotextile.  It is used to prevent intermixing of clean and contaminated soils, and also provides a highly-visible warning during any subsequent excavation. The polyethylene/polypropylene geotextile component limits the upward movement of contaminated particles whilst still allowing drainage.  The polyethylene mesh component provides additional strength and resistance to puncture.

The use of these polymers means that the composite has a high level of chemical and biological resistance.
