Wavelay™ is a coloured plastic detectable tape for marking and detecting buried underground services. Wavelay™ detectable tracer tape can be used in conjunction with cable avoidance tools (CAT & GENNY).

Wavelay™ detectatape® detection tape is manufactured using one or more stainless steel wires laid in a sinusoidal pattern and laminated between two layers of low density lead free virgin grade rot resistant polyethylene

Wavelay™ detectable tape can be specially manufactured to customers unique requirements and is available in various colours, texts and sizes.

To ensure a continuous signal along the detectable tape, it is important to use our wire crimps and crimping tool. This gives the join sufficient strength to cope with most back fills. If not installed correctly then the signal may not pass from join to join along the detectable tape
