TERRAM Quiz Raises Much Needed Funds For Farleigh Hospice

8 August 2017

TERRAM staff tested their knowledge for a good cause at another charity fundraising evening.

TERRAM has supported Farleigh Hospice, near Chelmsford, for many years and continued its efforts by holding a charity quiz night and raffle.

Organiser Nick Moore, Shipping Manager, said a similar event last year proved popular so he responded to demand and staged it again this year.

“I had a lot of people ask me for another one this year, so we went ahead with a bigger venue and went from there,” he said.“Adam Topliss, our sales coordinator, helped me present on the night and some other colleagues helped with organising raffle prizes and general bits with the venue. We had around 60 people attend, including people from TERRAM and friends and family from outside of work”.

“The night went really well and everyone had a lot of fun. We raised £445 for Farleigh Hospice.”

“We chose Farleigh Hospice as our local charity to support as many people in our local area appreciate the work they do for people affected by life-limiting illnesses.”

Deborah de Boltz, Farleigh’s fundraising manager, (pictured, centre) said: “With approximately 44 per cent of our income coming from the local NHS, we rely on the support and goodwill of the local community to raise the remainder.

“We are so grateful to TERRAM for their continued support and for organising a charity quiz night and raising £445. The employees chose to support Farleigh Hospice as they wanted their efforts to make a real difference to people within their local community.”

The quiz was part of TERRAM’s ongoing community partnership with Farleigh Hospice
