TERRAM Bakes A Difference For Cancer Charity

Mark Lambeth of TERRAM Geosynthetics wins best cake in the Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee morning bake off!

Manufacturing and design knowhow took a tasty twist for TERRAM when our team turned their hands to baking.

An array of treats made a delicious spread when our colleagues took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Delights included a lemon cheesecake, a strawberry and cream sponge, a carrot cake, a walnut and apple loaf and a Bakewell Tart.

Prize for Best Decorated Cake was won by our production supervisor Mark Lambeth for his vanilla and chocolate button cake, while Best Tasting went to accounts assistant Rob Wilkins, who made a chocolate roulade. There was also a ‘guess the number of spots on a cake’ competition.

Production operator and bake off organiser Dawn Wilsher said: “The turnout of cakes was outstanding and we had a very hard job choosing the prize-winners.

“We do the Macmillan Coffee Morning every year. It is such a great cause and we are proud to be able to help raise as much as we can for them.”

Staff donations totalled £275.76, which TERRAM matched to give a grand total of £551.52 towards a vital cause.
